1. What’s your name or Alias?
Jason Mattox, I sign everything as J-Sin its shorter and looks cooler right lol

2. Where are you from?

New Albany Indiana home of humidity

3. How long have you been creating art and who or what got you started?

I drew off and on during high school then just kind of stopped, then one day I decided to try pinstriping then the pinstriping lead to drawing monsters, tikis and other things so I have been at it full time now for 5 years

4. What or who inspires you?

I would have to say what inspires me is the fact I really love what I do, I do not want to go back to punching a time clock I love the fact that no one tells me what to do I pretty much make my own hours and work when I want on what I want, My girl really inspires me too I want both of us to have nice things and she really is what keeps me going.

5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

in 5 years I really hope to be set enough to just hit select shows and not be on the road so much, I just work so much better at home

6. How would you describe your style of art?

Thats a tuff one with the pinstriping I would have to say straight up old school I just keep it simple and do what works ya know, with the monsters and such very horror driven I guess I like for people to look at my monsters and be like what the hell is wrong with that guy lol

7. Are there any artists that influence you or that you admire in any way?
all the artist out there inspire me but I really look up to Doug Dorr he showed me a lot,David Lozeau also does inspiring work, Jimmy C, Sonny Depalma, Von Franco, Jeff Gaither and of course Ed Roth and Von Dutch

8. You’re having a barbecue and you can invite any 5 famous people (alive or dead),
who would you invite?

Ed Roth, Sonny Depalma, Jimmy C, Larry Watson and Jesse Jane hey we would need something to look at right lol

9. Do you own or plan to purchase/build any vintage cars? (if so, which ones?)

I have a 1953 chevy four door now and love it, me and my club are about to do some work on it, repaint it, flake things like that and someday I hope to have a 61 impala and a 26 T Coupe

10. What is your favorite medium to work with?

I use 1shot most of the time and love it its just what I am use to, When I paint shift knobs there all done with acrylics and I really enjoy that and lately I have got into just inking drawings for some reason it relaxes me

I would have to say 1-Hatebreed, 2-Slayer, 3-Diemonsterdie, 4-Misfits, 5-AFI, 6-Pantera, 7-Motley Crue, 8-Monster Magnet, 9-All That remains and 10-atreyui

12. What is your favorite piece of art that you’ve created?

I do flyin eye ball cut outs that I think are pretty cool, there cut from mdf, painted with 1shot then I clear over them with a little baby flake thrown in

13. Is there anything else we should know about you?

Despite the fact that I have only been pinstriping full-time for 5 years now, I truly respect the guys who have come before me and many of the old school traditions that go with the pinstriping culture. Without those guys to pave the way, I would not be able to do what I love to do. I read everything I can really get my hands on about pinstriping too,You can never know to much and the minute you think you know everything you need to stop
